When we started FanSpark, we knew that the quickest way for athletes to grow their subscriptions was by converting their existing fans and followers into FanSpark subscribers. So we wanted to make it easy for you to show them what they’ll find on FanSpark and why they should subscribe to you.
But how do you show people a sneak preview of content that’s behind a subscription? Well, by showing them just a little bit of it, with our Share Clip feature.
Share Clip is available on every video, and lets you clip out ten seconds of any video, download it, and share it to your socials. Since we know a lot of social sites don’t let you attach a link to your post, Share Clip automatically adds your FanSpark username as a bumper at the end so anyone who sees it can find more.
Let’s say you have a really cool video just for your fans. Maybe you clip out the first ten seconds and post it with a note that says subscribe on FanSpark to see if I can pull this off! Or maybe you want to do a longer Q&A or a more personal video just for your biggest fans. Share Clip lets you let fans know it's there for subscribers.
So how do you use Share Clip? It’s easy - click the share button on your video (it’s in the bottom right) then use the slider to pick whatever ten second portion of that video you want to share. It creates a downloadable clip, adds your FanSpark handle to the end so folks know where to find you, and you can post it wherever your fans are.
And speaking of fans, they can do this too - so encourage them to share Clips on their socials, to bring back new fans.
(Don’t worry - we limit users to one Clip per video to make sure no one can just clip every part of your subscription videos and re-edit them back together.)
Make sure you use the Share Clip feature on every video so your current fans and followers know they can subscribe to you on FanSpark for exclusive content.
